Venezuelan electoral authorities confirm opposition's supermajority

The opposition in Venezuela has won a key two thirds majority, the Venezuelan electoral authorities said. This has enabled the opposition to challenge Nicolas Maduro, the president of the country. As per media reports, the opposition has said that it would address Venezuela’s economic crisis and would also work to free opposition leaders who are currently in jail. Meanwhile, Maduro, who has announced a cabinet reshuffle, has promised to veto any amnesty law for jailed politicians.
