Veneto and Lombardy vote for greater autonomy

Veneto and Lombardy, which are two wealthy regions in Italy, have voted for greater autonomy in referendums held on Sunday. While in Veneto the turnout was projected at around 58 percent, in Lombardy it was 40 percent. Presidents of both Veneto and Lombardy said that more than 95 percent of the voters had voted for greater autonomy.
