US: Violent protests erupt in Missouri after police officer kills an 18-year-old man

  • Hundreds of protesters went on a rampage at St. Louis suburb of Berkeley after a police officer killed an 18 years old man who had been reportedly pointing a 9 mm handgun at the officer, as per the media reports.  More than 50 police officers got into action as the angry protesters started setting off explosives. Some of them even resorted to stone pelting. Four of them were arrested for assaulting police officers. The incident was reminiscent of what had happened in neighboring Ferguson after Michael Brown was shot dead by a police officer.
