US to Ban Americans from Visiting North Korea
July 22 , 2017
Heather Nauert, spokesperson for US State Department, has said in a statement that US citizens will be banned from visiting North Korea, whose circular will be published in Federal Register next week. The ban will reportedly come into effect after 30 days. The decision of ban comes after a traveling American student Otto Warmbier to North Korea was jailed in 2016 for 15 years and was then handed over to the US administration in a state of coma last month, who died a week later. After imposition of the ban, special validation will be needed by the US citizens to travel to or within North Korea.
