US Republicans slam Iran nuclear agreement
July 15 , 2015
US Republicans have slammed the nuclear deal reached between world powers and Iran that limits the country's nuclear activity and in turn lifts economic sanctions from it.
The US Congress has 60 days to consider the agreement. President Obama has said that he would veto attempts by Republicans to block the deal.
John Boehner, the Republican Speaker of House of Representatives, said that the nuclear deal would “embolden” Iran and could “fuel a nuclear arms race around the world.”
Republican presidential candidate Lindsey Graham said that it was a “terrible” deal.
