April 9 , 2016
US military has refused to take any responsibility for the death of 97 civilians including 25 children, who were killed in the Saudi-led coalition airstrike in Yemen. According to the US, it only provides logistical information to the coalition led by Saudi Arabia. Riyadh, in turn, is responsible for conducting the operations - selecting and final vetting on targets. A ceasefire is set to begin on Sunday following which peace talks will be held on April 18 in Kuwait between the warring factions.
