US President joins EU and UN Leaders asking for Clarity on Saudi Dissident Khashoggi's Death

  • The US President Donald Trump joins European leaders and United Nations to push Saudi Arabia for answers about the disappearance of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. When interviewed during a trip to Nevada, the US President said that Saudi Arabia’s admission about Khashoggi’s death inside its consulate in Istanbul “was a big first step, it was a good first step”. However, we also said, “No, I am not satisfied until we find the answer”. While Germany called Saudi Arabia’s explanation about Khashoggi’s death as inadequate, France and the European Union called for a thorough investigation of the issue. In fact, Turkish officials believe Khashoggi was reportedly killed by Saudi agents inside the consulate and then cut him up into pieces. UK's Brexit minister also called the “fist fight” explanation of Riyadh as “not credible”.
