US President Downplays North Korea Missile Tests by calling them "Small Weapons"

  • The US President Donald Trump downplayed the concerns regarding the North Korean missile tests through a tweet on Sunday. He went on to say that the “small weapons” fired by North Korea disturbed some of the people in his administration (referring to US National Security Adviser John Bolton’s Saturday statement saying the tests violated UN resolutions on DPRK) but not him. Trump also said that “I have confidence that Chairman Kim will keep his promise to me.” The US President is currently on a 4-day visit to Japan. Reports say President Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe had breakfast together on Sunday and then headed to Chiba for playing 16 holes of golf.  Trump reportedly said that this visit is meant to discuss about the trade imbalances that are there between the US and Japan.
