US President defends remarks on 'Unite the Right' Rally

  • Amidst protests and debates against Charlottesville violence which occurred on August 12, the US President Donald Trump has defended his remarks. Rather, the US President has condemned journalists for misrepresenting his remarks over the violence. He called journalists as “truly dishonest people” who “don't like our country”. In his 77 minute long speech, Trump reiterated what he  had said in three of his earlier speeches about the 'Unite the Right” gathering which was held in Charlottesville,Virginia. During his rally in Phoenix, Arizona, Trump even told the crowd that it is “Time to challenge crooked media deceptions”.
