US Congress, Obama reach deal over Iran nuclear agreement

  • US President Barack Obama has reached an agreement with the Congress, under which it will have a say on any future Iranian nuclear deal.

Obama has withdrawn his opposition to a bill that the Senate foreign relations committee had unanimously backed. The Congress can reject any possible deal with Iran, according to the bill which Obama has agreed to sign.

Iran and world powers including the US have June 30 as the deadline to work out a final deal.
