Unexpected growth in China's economy
April 17 , 2019
As per recent reports, China's economy expanded by 6.4% in the quarter ended in March 2019, which is more than expected. The official figures released on Wednesday 16 April 2019 beat the expectations of Reuters, that had made an estimate of 6.3% regarding the year-on-year growth for this quarter. On the other hand, in the backdrop of the ongoing trade war with the US, Beijing is also formulating plans and strategies to boost its slow-paced economy, including tax cuts, and ensuring that their debt doesn't rise.
