Turkey Hands over Khashoggi Recordings to European Nations and the USA

  • To maintain international pressure on Saudi Arabia over the death of Saudi dissident and Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Turkey has reportedly given recordings related to the killing of the journalist to the USA, Germany, France, Britain, and Saudi Arabia. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that “They have listened to all the conversations in them” and they know. Reports say the recordings include audio recordings between Saudi officials and the killers as well as conversations pre-dating the operation. Though Erdogan didn’t accuse Saudi Arabian leaders of ordering Khashoggi murder, he asked Saudi Arabia to identify the killers, who arrived in Turkey hours before the disappearance of Khashoggi.
