Trump rejects Criticism of Slain US Muslim Soldier’s Father
Days after Khizr Khan (father of a Muslim soldier U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan killed in Iraq in 2004 and a US citizen of Pakistani origin) criticized Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump by saying he "sacrificed nothing and no one" while speaking at Democratic National Convention, Trump hit back by rejecting Khan’s claim. Trump, in an interview, said that he thinks he “made a lot of sacrifices” and went on to say that he works “very very hard”. He also said that he raised millions of dollars for the cause of veterans and questioned whether Khan’s speech was written by the script writers of his rival Hillary Clinton.
