Trump Draws Criticism over Russia 2016 Interference Issue
July 17 , 2018
The US President Donald Trump is under fire after defending Russia over the issue of 2016 interference at Finland summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He contradicted his own country's intelligence agencies at a two-hour long meeting stating that Russia didn't have any reason to meddle. Putin, however, has denied the claim on interference. Talking about poor relation with Russia in the past, Trump has blamed it on the US administration and not on Russian actions. Paul Ryan, the House Speaker, has commented on the situation saying that Trump must see that Russia is not a US ally.
