The US urges Americans in North Korea to leave and stops travel over there
August 3 , 2017
The US has imposed a ban on its citizens traveling to North Korea and it is expected to come into effect from 1 September onwards. It has also asked Americans in the Asian country to leave it before that date. The information has been provided by US State Department on August 2. The public notice has also stated that the only exceptions to this ban would be humanitarian workers and journalists. However, they would also need to apply and get permission. The US fears that Americans in North Korea could be detained for the long term and this is why it has imposed this ban.
