The truth behind the Addictive Chinese Noodles

  • A Chinese noodle vendor from the northern Shaanxi province made tasty noodles that drew a large number of customers. In what can be termed as a shocking revelation, the so called tasty noodles were laced with powdered poppy plant. It is a plant from which opium is made. The incident was revealed after police tested a 26-year-old man for drugs just after he had eaten the bowl of noodles.  

    As per the Chinese media reports the owner of the restaurant admitted to adding powdered opium poppy plant to his food to enhance the taste and to improve the inflow of customers. The vendor has been arrested by the police.
