The Ebola Crisis
September 24 , 2014
As per the report issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday, September 23, the Ebola crisis in Liberia and Sierra Leone will only worsen, as the number of cases is expected to rise between 550, 000 and 1.4 million by January 2015. This estimate was the result of a new forecasting tool that was developed by the CDC.
Lack of changes in the community behavior and ignorance is cited to be the main reason behind such a fate. The World Health Organization on Monday has confirmed the death toll from Ebola to be 5, 800 plus. In just a matter of six months the death toll has soared to more than 2, 800.
