Terror network kidnaps 100 teen girls in Nigeria
April 17 , 2014
The Boko Haram terror network kidnapped nearly 100 girls from a school located in northeastern Nigeria.
Authorities mentioned that the teenagers were abducted after midnight and some girls managed to escape by jumping off the track as it moved along a road. Extremists have been using kidnapped girls as sex slaves and cooks.
All schools in the region were shut down three weeks ago because of the attacks that have taken the lives of hundreds of students in the past year but young girls between the ages of 16 and 18 were called to take their exams.
Attacks by the Boko Haram have killed over 1,500 people this year as compared to the estimated 3,600 between 2010-14.
