Tajikistan: 10 dead in clashes in and around capital Dushanbe
September 5 , 2015
At least 10 people have been killed in gun attacks in Tajikistan, reports say.
Eight police officers are believed to be among the dead after gunmen targeted Vahdat town outside capital Dushanbe and a government building.
The two attackers were also killed, authorities said.
The government has blamed Gen Aduhalim Nazarzoda, the sacked deputy defense minister, alleging that he was heading a “terrorist group”.
The interior ministry said an “organised criminal group” had carried out the attacks.
