Syrian crisis: Chief opposition negotiator steps down

Mohammed Alloush, the chief negotiator of the main opposition umbrella group of Syria, has stepped down. He has citied the failure of peace talks as a reason for his resignation. Media reports quoted Alloush as saying that that talks had not brought about a political deal. He further stated that they also did not help alleviate the plight of Syrians in besieged areas.
