July 13 , 2017
On July 12, a suicide bomber drove a car full of explosives at a gathering of jihadist rebels and killed and injured scores of people. The incident happened close to Idlib, a city in northwestern Syria that is now occupied by the rebels. Sources among rebels have also said that the blast affected a textile factory that was being used as a front by members of Hayat Tahrir al Sham. It is basically a coalition of rebel groups whose strongest component is Nusra Front that used to be affiliated to al Qaeda.
