Syria misses chemical weapons deadline
February 6 , 2014
Syria was supposed to turn over all of its deadly chemical weapons today but the nation is not even close to doing so.
The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons has only been handed over four percent of the promised chemicals and a spokesman mentioned that no shipments have been made since Jan. 27.
Western diplomats don't agree with Russia when it says that more shipments will soon be made.
In another news about Syria, a UN report suggests that 10k children lost their lives in the conflict and the regime is being accused of holding young children in detention centers for adults and torturing them with electrical shocks, beatings, sexual violence, and more.
