An estimated 20 people have been killed and many wounded in a suicide bombing in the Yemeni capital of Sana’a, reports said.
The suicide bomber targeted a Shia Houthi checkpoint. An eyewitness was quoted as saying that the attacker was wearing a suicide belt.
The attack occurred in the city’s central Tahrir Square, which is being controlled by Houthi rebels.
Though no group has claimed responsibility for the bombing, militants affiliated to the al-Qaida are active in the area.
