Sudanese woman who faced death penalty for apostasy arrives in US

Mariam Yehya Ibrahim, a Sudanese Christian woman, who had faced the death penalty in her native country for apostasy, arrived in the United States, which will be her new home, according to media reports.
Accompanying her were her husband and two children. The family was greeted by supporters at New Hampshire’s Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
Welcoming Ibrahim and her family, new Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte said she had “inspired the world with her extraordinary courage and resilience.”
