Storm hits Northeast United States: Five dead


  • At least five people were killed as a powerful storm pounded the Northeast of the United States. As per media reports, the storm has knocked out power to more than a million customers, lead to traffic jams and cancellation of around 3,300 flights. In Massachusetts, around 440,000 people are without power, while in Virginia and Washington D.C. at least 301,671 and 154,000 people have been affected. The storm, which caused massive damages in Massachusetts, struck on Friday and is not likely to ease until midday Saturday.
