All 13 people on a skydiving plane that crashed into a lake survived after they parachuted to safety in New Zealand, the police said.
The plane apparently plunged into Lake Taupo after an engine failure on Wednesday, January 7, but all those on board were able to jump out in parachutes seconds before.
According to Kim Perks, the police spokesperson, besides the pilot there were six passengers and six crew on the plane, which was being operated by the agency Skydive Taupo.
