October 29 , 2014
The body of a female victim of the Sewol ferry disaster has been discovered, on Tuesday, October 28, more than six months after the vessel sank near the South Korean coast, according to media reports.
The body was found in the women’s bathroom on the fourth floor of the sunken ferry, search officials said, but has not been retrieved so far due to poor visibility and logistical issues.
At least 295 people, many of them school children, were killed when the ferry capsized on April 16. Nine victims are still missing.
