Ships follow lead in case of missing jet

The hunt for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is ongoing. The head of the multinational search said the electronic pulsing signal picked up by a Chinese ship is an encouraging lead. Reports suggest that an Australian ship detected a signal in another area as well but these sounds could just be a dead end.
"This is an important and encouraging lead, but one which I urge you to treat carefully," retired Australian marshal Angus Houston said. He mentioned that the pings were "fleeting, fleeting acoustic events."
"There are lots of noises in the ocean, and sometimes the acoustic equipment can rebound, echo if you like," he said.
