Shell hits bus in eastern Ukraine, 12 killed

  • Around 12 civilians were reportedly killed and many more wounded when a bus was hit by a shell at a government checkpoint in eastern Ukraine.

The incident occurred at Buhas, some 22 miles from the separatist controlled area of Donetsk.

The government has blamed the pro-Russia rebels for hitting the bus, but the rebels have denied the allegation.

Though both sides agreed to a ceasefire in September, fighting between government forces and rebel fighters has not stopped in eastern Ukraine.
