Several injured after blast at chemical plant in Germany

Several people were injured in an explosion at a chemical plant in north-western Germany that caused a massive blaze.
The blast, which occurred in the facility near Bremen, damaged a residential area in Ritterhude town, the police said.
One person, believed to be an employee of the chemical plant, reportedly suffered severe burn injuries. Others were being treated for minor injuries.
Officials said the cause of the blast was not immediately clear and the site was not yet safe for investigators to venture into.
