A senior leader of the Pakistani Taliban has reportedly been killed in a US drone strike.
The Pakistani Taliban leadership is yet to officially confirm the death of its second-in-command, Waliur Rehman.
Missiles hit a house near the north-western town of Miranshah in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to Pakistani security officials, a local Taliban commander was among those killed in the raid.
The strike is the first to take place in nearly six weeks, and comes a week after President Barack Obama announced new guidelines for the US drone program.
