Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar advise citizens to leave Lebanon
August 16 , 2012
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar have told their citizens to leave Lebanon "immediately".
The orders come as fears increase over violence from the Syrian conflict spilling into neighboring Lebanon.
On Wednesday, a Shia Muslim clan stated it had kidnapped 20 Syrians in Lebanon after rebels in Damascus abducted a Lebanese man earlier in the week.
The rebels claim Hassan al-Meqdad was a member of Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, an allegation that has been denied by Hezbollah.
