Russian trawler sinks off the Kamchatka Peninsula, 54 dead

At least 54 people were killed when a Russian trawler sank off the Kamchatka Peninsula. According to media reports, 15 people are still missing, while 60 have been rescued from the water in Russia’s Far East. Around 132 people were on board the Dalniy Vostok freezer trawler, a commercial fishing vessel. Of these, 78 were Russian nationals, while the rest belonged to Lithuania, Ukraine, Vanuatu and Myanmar.
