February 17 , 2016
After a football match in the Turkish city of Istanbul, a Russian footballer taunted Turkish fans by pulling off his shirt to show a picture of Putin, the President of Russia. According to media reports, the vest of Dmitri Tarasov, the midfielder of Lokomotiv Moscow, showed Putin in a navy cap with the words "the most polite president". Lokomotiv Moscow may likely face punishment as Uefa, the governing body of European football, does not allow political statements to be displayed during matches.
