Redacted, Declassified Democratic Memo Released by the US Congress

  • US House intelligence committee has published a redacted, declassified Democratic memo of the document that intends countering Republicans’ narrative accusing FBI of conspiring against Donald Trump during the process of investigating his ties with Russia and the latter’s involvement in 2016 US Presidential election. The Democratic memo counters charges of the Republicans that accused Democrat Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee for funding British spy Christopher Steele to collect information on the then US presidential candidate Donald Trump and at the same time discredit him.  The Democratic memo also contends the Justice Department’s views citing “multiple independent sources” regarding former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser Carter Page’s Russian connection that corroborates reporting of Steele.
