Red Cross says 50,000 people displaced because of Aleppo fighting

The International Committee of the Red Cross said that around 50,000 people have been displaced due to a surge in fighting in Aleppo, a province in Syria. The ICRC said that the situation in the province has deteriorated as water supplies have been cut. As per media reports, the government of Syria is trying to recapture parts of the city held by rebels. The Syrian government forces are supported by Russian air power.
