Record Number of People Join Bernie Sanders' Rally in Iowa, AOC joins the US Presidential Hopeful

  • Vermont Senator and US Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders was joined by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Friday night at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Reports say that it was attended by 2,400 people, making it the largest rally in Iowa by any Presidential candidate from the Democrat Party in Iowa. Bernie 2020 Iowa State Director Misty Rebik said that the thousands of people who have joined the rally prove that the time has come to bring a “fundamental change in this country”. Calling it a grassroots movement, Misty Rebik said that “together we're going to expand the electorate and win the Iowa caucus.” Sanders has released his sweeping immigration plan on Thursday that vows to impose a moratorium on deportations, allow at least 50,000 “climate migrants” during Sanders administration’s first year in office, breaking the existing immigration enforcement agencies, and many other sweeping changes.
