Pope brings twelve refugees to Italy
April 17 , 2016
Pope Francis in an extraordinary gesture brought 12 Syrian Muslims to Italy from the Greek island of Lesbos, which has in real sense faced the brunt of Europe’s migration crisis. Around 3000 migrants are facing deportation to Turkey as per the new deal with the European Union. Pope has requested the European Union to treat the migrants with humanity as they have desperately taken refuge on the island fleeing the war and poverty back home. On a completely humanitarian ground, Pope has urged Europe to integrate refugees in their societies and save them from becoming a prey to radicalization.
