May 14 , 2013
New Orleans police have offered a $10,000 reward in the hope of leading to arrests in a Mother's Day shooting that injured 19 people, including two children.
The announcement was made after police on Monday released blurry surveillance camera images of the incident, urging the public for help on locating the three suspects via social media sites such as Facebook and YouTube.
Ten men, seven women along with a girl and a boy, both aged 10, were hit after gunmen opened fire at the parade on Sunday.
Two victims have undergone surgery and the children, both of whom suffered minor injuries, are in a good condition.
According to witness reports, two different types of gunshots were heard, suggesting that two weapons were involved.
Police officials said a motive for the shooting was yet to be determined.
