One injured in India bomb blasts
August 2 , 2012
At least one person has been injured in a series of bomb blasts in India’s western Pune city.
The explosions went off within minutes of each other during evening rush hour and have been described as "low-intensity".
The blasts came on the same day that India's new home minister, Sushilkumar Shinde, took up his post.
"It does not seem to be a terrorist attack - rather it seems to have been a mischief-maker," Pune police commissioner Gopal Rao Pol told AFP news agency.
One of the bombs exploded outside a McDonalds fast food restaurant while another two went off near a theater and a bank.
Up to two other bombs were defused.
