Norway's new TV stunt is live knitting
October 6 , 2013
Norway is planning on dedicating five hours of air-time in order to break the knitting world record. The NRK network has announced that the broadcast on Nov. 1 will follow a four-hour long documentary explaining how sheep's wool is turned into a sweater.
The producer of the network mentioned that "it's kind of ordinary TV but very slow, although they'll be knitting as fast as they can."
This is Norway's attempt to break the non-stop knitting record currently held by Australia.
Live TV in the country has already begun to entice its viewers with hours of watching fire burn itself out and minute-by-minute salmon fishing.
