North Korea fires two missiles as US-South Korea military exercises begin
March 2 , 2015
North Korea reportedly fired two missiles from Nampo city into the sea as the South Korea-US military exercises started.
The missiles, with a short range of 305 miles, were fired east of the peninsula, according to South Korean military officials.
North Korea invariably sees the annual military drills as a provocation. While South Korea and US say the exercises are of a defensive nature, North Korea regards them as a rehearsal for an invasion.
