Nobel Peace Prize Winner Nadia Murad Announces Plans to Build Hospital in Iraq

  • Nobel Peace Prize winner of 2018 Nadia Murad has said that she intends to use the prize money in building a hospital for sexual abuse victims in Sinjar, her hometown located in northern Iraq. The Yazidi survivor (who campaigned the plight of Yazidis internationally and first brought out their pains before the international community at the UN) announced before a crowd in her hometown that the hospital will “treat ill people, mainly widows, and women who were exposed to sexual abuses”.
