No electricity in Crimea after pylons 'blown up'

  • Pylons carrying power lines that supply electricity to Crimea from Ukraine were blown up, plunging the region into darkness, reports say.

Crimea’s two million residents were left without electricity after all the four power lines were reportedly cut.

Though Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, Ukraine continues to supply power to the region.

Ukraine considers Crimea to be an integral part of the country and has slammed Russia’s annexation as illegal.
