'No anger in my heart,' says man freed from prison after 30 years
September 4 , 2014
Henry McCollum, who was freed from prison after 30 years — after DNA evidence showed that he and his half-brother Leon Brown were innocent in the rape and murder of an 11-year-old girl in North Carolina — said there was no anger in his heart, according to media reports.
Brown also walked out of prison as a free man after three decades.
McCollum, 50, who was just 19 when he was arrested, said he didn’t like “what they have done to me and my brother,” but he did not hate them.
