Nine missing in Chinese chemical plant blast

  • Nine people were reported missing and two were injured following an explosion in a chemical plant in east China on Wednesday, local authorities said. A blast ripped through the 401 workshop of Shandong Tianbao Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. in Shandong Province, at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday. All nine workers in the workshop were missing for while two in a neighbouring workshop were injured. The nine missing included a 26-year-old woman and eight men aged between 24 and 41.
