Nine killed in militant attack on Libyan hotel

At least nine people were killed when several gunmen opened fire inside a hotel in Libya’s capital Tripoli on Tuesday, January 27, according to media reports.
Five of those dead in the militant attack are believed to be foreigners, including one American and one French national.
The gunmen fired in the reception area of Corinthia Hotel, and a car bomb went off nearby, media reports said.
The U.S. citizen killed is surmised to have been a security contractor.
The number of gunmen involved in the attack was not clear.
