Nine killed in Libyan car bomb
May 14 , 2013
Nine people, including children, were killed in a car bomb blast close to a hospital in Libya’s Benghazi city on Monday.
The incident is the latest in a series of bombings to take place in the eastern city in recent days.
The explosion took place in the Jalaa hospital parking lot. Two children were among those killed and 17 others were injured.
So far no group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
Concerns over security continue to persist in Libya, especially in Benghazi, which is seen as the starting point of the revolution that ousted leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
