January 29 , 2014
Egypt's ousted president Mohamed Morsi shouted from inside a metal cage right before the beginning of the new trial. He wore a white prison uniform and shouted at the judge, asking him who he was. "I am the head of Egypt's criminal court!" the judge responded.
Morsi is being tried along with 130 others over charges in regards to more than 20k inmates, who escaped. He was seen protesting against him being inside a cage during his trial during the half-hour-long footage aired on television.
The trial was adjourned to Feb. 22 after five hours and the case's charges carry a life sentence.
