More than10 people killed in car bomb attack in Somalia

  • At least 10 people were killed and 15 wounded in a car bombing next to a restaurant in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on Sunday evening, October 12, according to media reports.

The car, packed with explosives, was parked at the entrance of Oromo, a popular restaurant.

Somalia government employees often visit the restaurant, a few kilometers from the parliament area.

The Al-Shabaab militant group said it carried out the attack. Ahmed Godane, the leader and co-founder of Al-Shabaab, was killed in a US air strike last month.
